Arrive on time with Calendar Sync

After many months of work we're excited to release calendar sync in a feature packed update hitting the App Store today.

With calendar sync, travel time to your events/appointments/meetings are displayed across ETA for iPhone, Apple Watch and Today View. As with all locations you can display travel time as driving, walking or public transit (available in select cities).

To use calendar sync simply ensure your appointments and meetings have a location assigned. No need to have a fully valid address, ETA uses its search engine to uncover the correct location. Added to this 'Smart Find' links calendar locations to existing locations present in ETA.

Travel time and suggested departure time to you calendar locations will automatically appear at the top of your dashboard on iPhone, in a new dedicated calendar widget in Today View, and on Apple Watch both in the app and on your watch face via the ETA complication.

Calendar sync is unlocked via an in app purchase.

Customise and personalise

A host of options are now available to help you customise the look and feel to personalise your ETA experience. Change the theme from light to dark to 'midnight'. Or simply change the app icon to freshen up your home screen. These customisation options are provided free of charge for those that previously purchased our light theme, Silver Lake. For everyone else it's available via an in app purchase.

Improvements and optimisations

Heavy users of ETA on iPhone and Today View will notice a number of improvements.

  • The Today View widget has been rebuilt. Travel time to up to five (5) locations are now displayed almost instantly. There's not even time to show a loading spinner!
  • Communicating your arrival time could not be simpler with new a new sharing feature. On each location, at a tap of a button, share beautiful iMessage cards outlining key travel info (including trip duration and arrival time).
  • Improved functionality ensuring quicker retrieval of travel time and location information. Pull to refresh added to the dashboard to manually update.

We hope you enjoy this release! Look forward to another update in a few weeks with goodies for iOS 11 and watchOS 4!
