ETA's URL Scheme

One of the many inclusions that we crammed into version 1.2 of ETA is additional URL scheme functionality.

Previously you could simply open ETA through adding the 'whatsmyeta:' URL to apps such as Launch Center Pro. In this 1.2.0 update we've gone further and we're excited to provide the ability to add locations to ETA using the expanded 'whatsmyeta://add' URL.

The 'whatsmyeta://add' URL opens ETA with the add screen ready and waiting. Follow this link to install this as an action in Launch Center Pro.

Taking it one step further and passing a location name as a URL parameter enables you to quickly save your current location.

whatsmyeta://add?name=[prompt:Location Name]

Follow this link to install this as an action in Launch Center Pro (this launches a prompt in LCP for the Location Name).

Including both a location name and an address as parameters enables you to save whatever custom location you wish.

whatsmyeta://add?name=[prompt:Location Name]&address=[prompt:Location Address]

Follow this link to install this as an action in Launch Center Pro (both name and address are presents as prompts in LCP).

Finally you can also simply pass a custom address and ETA will prompt you for a location name.

whatsmyeta://add?address=[prompt:Location Address]

Follow this link to install this as an action in Launch Center Pro.

Hopefully you find the new functionality useful in adding locations to ETA. We're interested to learn how its being used so if you get a moment please drop us an email or a note on Twitter with your example. Further more, feel free to get in touch if you have any general feedback on ETA or our URL scheme implementation.
